Social Care

Social care is about providing physical, emotional and social support to help people live their lives. For various reasons and at different stages in their lives, some people need support to develop and maintain their independence, dignity and control.

Whether you work for the NHS, in schools, charities or for local authorities, a career in social services will require emotional resilience, patience and a passion for helping others but can be one of the most highly rewarding lines of work.

Due to the increasing life expectancy in the UK, by 2030 the sector needs at least another half a million jobs for adult social care on top of the 1.48 million roles that currently exist.
