Working with businesses and individuals, you will help them to connect with their audiences, promote brands, products and send messages using a range of techniques. There’s use for a number of transferable skills, so even if you haven’t specifically studied marketing, it can be something you could have the potential to do.

Marketing is the overall process of boosting awareness and visibility of a product, person or service via digital and ‘traditional’ methods, while PR involves promoting and generating publicity for said products and services.

Building up your network of contacts before your job search will be important, as smaller businesses and agencies may use informal recruitment practices to find candidates.
